FREED Tracker — Terms of Use (EULA)

1. Agreement

By downloading or using FREED Tracker (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

The developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and these Terms.

​

3. The App

FREED Tracker reads device position and orientation (via ARKit, Core Motion, and related sensors) and sends FreeD tracking data over UDP to receivers on your local network (e.g. Unreal Engine, Vizrt, Disguise, Screenberry, TouchDesigner).

You are responsible for:

  • network configuration (IP, port, firewall, Local Network permission);

  • calibration, axis mapping, and verifying tracking data at your receiver;

  • safe use on set (mounting, cables, battery, heat).

The App does not replace professional camera tracking hardware where your production requires it.

4. Free and Pro tiers

Free tier

  • Full access to tracking features in the App;

  • UDP send limited to 3 minutes per tracking session (per Start → Stop);

  • Project import and export are not available.

Pro tier

  • Unlimited UDP tracking sessions;

  • Full project import and export 

Feature limits may change; the in-app Subscription screen shows the current offering.

5. Subscriptions (FREED Tracker Pro)

FREED Tracker Pro - Monthly and FREED Tracker Pro - Yearly are auto-renewable subscriptions sold through the Apple App Store.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

  • Manage or cancel: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (on your device).

  • Restore Purchases is available in the App if you reinstall or change devices.

  • Promo codes and offer codes from Apple are subject to Apple’s terms, eligibility, and expiry rules. Redeem via Redeem Code in the App or in the App Store app.

Prices are shown in the App before purchase. Taxes may apply per App Store rules.

6. Acceptable use

Use the App only for lawful virtual production, broadcast, and related professional or personal purposes.

You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as allowed by law;

  • use the App in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights;

  • rely on the App as the sole safety system for live shows without independent verification.

You are responsible for verifying tracking output before use on air or on stage.

7. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Tracking accuracy depends on your device, lighting, environment, ARKit limitations, network latency, and receiver configuration. The developer does not guarantee uninterrupted UDP delivery, frame rate, or positional/rotational accuracy suitable for every production.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING INCORRECT TRACKING DATA, PRODUCTION DELAYS, OR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE.

WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy:

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes may also be communicated through the App Store or the App where appropriate.

11. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. In the event of failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. The developer is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App.
