Privacy Policy - MgicEvent iOS

# 1. Overview

MagicEvent iOS (“the App”) uses your device camera for on-device gesture and pose recognition and can send control output over your local network (OSC, FreeD, DMX/Art-Net/sACN).

We respect your privacy. The App is designed to process recognition and project data **on your device**.

We do not operate a cloud backend that receives your camera video, gestures, or project files by default.

This policy describes what the App may access and how that information is used.

## 2. Data we do not collect

We do not:

- operate a user account or login server for the App;

- sell or rent your personal data;

- use advertising trackers in the App for cross-app profiling;

- receive your payment card or billing details (purchases are handled entirely by Apple);

- upload your camera stream or recognition results to developer servers by default.

## 3. Data processed on your device

The App may process the following **locally on your device**:

| Data | Purpose |

|------|---------|

| Camera frames | Gesture/pose recognition, live preview, optional reference capture |

| Reference preview images | Stored with your project on device (Pro save/load) or in memory during the session |

| Project settings | Slots, thresholds, protocol values (FreeD/OSC/DMX), ROI, anti-false-trigger settings, camera selection |

| Network destination IPs | Sending OSC, FreeD, and DMX to addresses you configure |

| Session timer (Free tier) | Enforcing the 7-minute recognition limit per Start; counted only on device |

| Subscription status | Determining Free vs Pro features via Apple StoreKit |

This data is used only to run recognition, display the UI, enforce tier limits, and send output to destinations you choose.

## 4. Free and Pro tiers (privacy relevance)

**Free tier:** up to 2 active slots, 1 output destination, 7-minute session limit per Start, no project save/load.

**Pro tier:** up to 20 active slots, 4 destinations, unlimited session time, project save/load enabled.

Tier status is checked on your device using StoreKit. We do not receive your Apple ID or payment details.

## 5. Camera

The App requests camera permission to:

- analyze gestures and poses on-device;

- show a live preview;

- capture optional reference images for slots.

Camera processing is performed on the device. Video is not sent to the developer. You can revoke camera access at any time in **Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera**.

On Mac, the App uses video devices exposed by macOS (built-in FaceTime camera, USB cameras, and system-registered virtual cameras). The App does not install or scan for third-party software such as OBS; it lists devices reported by the operating system.

## 6. Local network

The App requests local network access to:

- send OSC, FreeD, and DMX/Art-Net/sACN packets to IP addresses you configure;

- run optional local network diagnostics.

Network traffic goes only to destinations and ports you set. The App does not send your camera stream or project data over the internet to the developer by default.

You are responsible for securing your show network and output equipment.

## 7. Project files and export

With an active **Pro** subscription, projects may be saved to and loaded from your device storage.

In the **Free** tier, save/load/import are disabled; settings exist only for the current session unless you upgrade to Pro.

If you use export features, exported files remain under your control on your device or wherever you save them.

## 8. In-app purchases and subscriptions

Pro features are sold via Apple In-App Purchase:

- **Pro Monthly**

- **Pro Yearly**

Payment processing, receipts, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple under the [Apple Media Services Terms](https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/) and [Apple Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

We receive only the information Apple provides through StoreKit on your device to confirm whether you have an active subscription. We do not receive your full payment history.

Promo and offer codes are redeemed through Apple’s standard redemption flow.

## 9. Apple

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s terms and policies, including device permissions and the App Store.

## 10. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## 11. Security

You are responsible for securing devices running the App, your show network, and configured output destinations. Use the App at your own risk in live production environments.

## 12. International users

The developer is based in the EU. Data described in this policy is processed on your device. If you contact us by email, we will use your message only to respond to your inquiry.

## 13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
